WATERLOO - Lola I. Wittke, 70, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Cromwell, daughter of Dalton E. and Ruby G. Purviance Flohra. She married Rudy H. Wittke on April 15, 1956, in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Wittke was a graduate of Franklin High School, Cedar Rapids, and completed the LPN program at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. She was a nursing supervisor at Parkview Gardens Nursing Home, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Ridgeway Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed getting together for monthly luncheons with her friends and classmates from Franklin High School.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Kelly Nelson of Waterloo, Kimberly (J.W.) Wieser of Minneapolis and Kristina (Gary) Lee of Hammond, Ind.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her mother of Ames; and two sisters, Charlotte Magee of Raleigh, N.C., and Marlene (Robert) Erickson of Ames.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the chapel. Her body has been cremated.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice in lieu of flowers.
