WATERLOO - Mollie Gray, 89, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born May 14, 1916, in Newton, Miss., cdaughter of Willie and Iola Walls Rigsby. She married Melvin Gray on Oct. 14, 1936, in Newton. He died Jan. 25, 1993.

Survivors include four sons, Walter (Jacquelyne) of Waterloo, Willie, Robert and Melvin Jr., all of Chicago; a daughter, Juanita Kelly of Waterloo; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vonzie Rigsby of Newton; and six sisters, Conelius Reynolds, Willa Mae Johnson, Bonnie Wiley, Bernice Davis, Ruthie Walker and Ernestine Rigsby, all of Chicago.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Melva Mae Gray; a grandson; six brothers, Robert, Woodrow, James C., Arthur, Lonnie and Johnny; and four sisters, Becky, Minnie, Gettie and Mattie.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses Virdin Creek Congregation, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories and for an hour before services Saturday at the Kingdom Hall.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
