WATERLOO - Lena M. Jones, 70, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of pancreatic cancer.

She was born March 27, 1935, in Cylinder, daughter of Otto and Vesta Brease Opperman. She married Maurice Jones on Dec. 31, 1971, in Waterloo. He died July 8, 2001.

Mrs. Jones was employed as a data programmer at Control-O-Fax before retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Mike (Theresa) Potter of Waterloo and Greg (Julie) Potter of Salem, Ore.; three daughters, Sue Potter, Nadine Martinez and Angela (Larry) Jones-Spray, all of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, George (Evelyn) Opperman of Hawkeye, Wayne Opperman of Fayette and Junior (Ruth) Opperman of Hawkeye; and two sisters, Irene Paige of Manchester and Wilma (Bill) Schmittler of Davenport.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
