WATERLOO - Vera M. Mobley, 72, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Aug. 27, 1941, in Grundy County, daughter of George and Grace Dreesman Aswegan. She married Roy Mobley on Dec. 14, 1968, in Iowa Falls, and they later divorced.

Vera graduated from Parkersburg High School and was a dietary assistant at Country View for over 23 years, retiring in 2005.

Survived by a daughter, Penny L. Mobley of Waterloo; a brother, Glenn Aswegan of Keystone; and a sister, Alice VanDyk of Aplington.

Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ethel Denner and Gertie Smith; two nephews, Robert and Randy Aswegan; and a niece, Cathy Aswegan.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service, where visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.
