CEDAR FALLS - Thomas C. "Cobe" Strack, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

He was born April 6, 1919, in Grundy Center, son of William and Grace Miller Strack. He married Lorraine A. Sulzinger on April 28, 1943, in Boca Raton, Fla.

He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1937 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He earned a BA degree from the University of Iowa in 1947, and JD degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1949. He served as Grundy County Attorney, was a partner with Willoughby, Strack and Sieverding-Attorneys at Law, and retired from Black Hawk County Abstract Co.. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Mary (David) Kabel of Cedar Falls; two sons, David of Waterloo and Charles of Logan, Utah; and three grandsons, David C., William and Paul Kabel.

Preceded in death by a brother, Charles Miller Strack; a sister, Nancy Clark; and daughter-in-law, Dana Strack.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with visitation for an hour before services. His body has been deeded to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
