WATERLOO - Vivian B. Straw, 89, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Aredale, daughter of Louie and Malinda Weber Jones. She married Raymond J. Straw on Sept. 22, 1945, in Columbia, S.C.; he died April 1, 2001.

Vivian graduated from Ackley High School in 1943. She worked at Roth Drug Store in Ackley, the Produce Co. in Indepedence, the Clean Towel Plant (now Aramark), and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church.

Survived by a daughter, Judith “Judi” Straw of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Carl Jones; and a sister, Mary Kappel.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Wednesday at the chapel.
