WATERLOO - Antoinette "Toni" Selden, 64, of Grinnell, formerly of Waterloo, died April 16, 2014, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, after a lengthy illness with cancer.

She was born May 27, 1949, in Waterloo, daughter of Joseph and Hazel Lilleg. She married David Duncan in 1970 and they later divorced. She married George Selden in November 2008.

Toni graduated from Columbus High School in 1967. She moved to Los Angeles in 1978, where she spent the next 30 years working as an office manager for orthopedic surgery centers. She returned to Iowa in 2008 and worked at Nationwide Insurance, Des Moines.

Survived by her husband; a son, Eric Duncan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Lisa Duncan of Long Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren, Gavin and Kayla, both of Long Beach; three sisters, Barbara Lellig of Janesville, Wis., Trisha (Joe) Still of Lenexa, Kan., and Mary (Mark) Holschlag of Waterloo; a brother, Michael (Lori) Lilleg of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Bev Rens.

Private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Toni was an avid animal lover, bowler and sports fan. Toni’s greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. She touched many lives with her humor, intelligence and caring nature and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
