WASHBURN - Craig D. Meyerhoff, 63, of Washburn, died at home Saturday, May 17, 2014.

He was born July 25, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Harold and Virginia Wolfgram Meyerhoff. He married Thelma Whitesell on July 29, 1972, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Craig graduated from Cedar Falls High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 36 years, retiring in 2007.

Survived by his wife; a son, Chad (Brenda) of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Kimberly Sparks of Washburn, Melissa (Matthew) Petersen of Fertile and Lacey (Rich) Budde of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; his father and stepmother, Harold and Edith Meyerhoff of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Dennis (John Kracker) of Davenport and Steve (Dena) of High Springs, Fla.; and two sisters, Sandra (Don) Frickson of Cedar Falls and Julie (Craig) Yocom of La Porte City.

Preceded in death by his mother; a sister-in-law, Gail Whitesell; and his father and mother-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Whitesell.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Waterloo, under the auspices of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls, with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
