WATERLOO - Rae C. Burr, 69, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Arlington Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 23, 1936, in Waterloo, son of Clarence E. and Anna L. Lande Burr. He married Connie A. Niedert on Dec. 21, 1962, in Hudson. She died April 30, 1991.

Mr. Burr retired from John Deere after 15 years of service. He then moved to Arlington and worked at Martin Sprocket and Gear, and at DFW Airport in security.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Rae Gene of Arlington and James Lee of Waterloo; a daughter, Joanna Denise Roberts of Arlington; a grandson; a brother, Kenneth (Jolene) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Anna (Robert) Getzoff of Arlington.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 138 American Legion and Waterloo Post 1623 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
