WATERLOO - Lori Lynn "LuuLuu" Gerst, 41, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home after a lengthy illness with cancer.

She was born Dec. 18, 1972, in Waterloo, daughter of Gary and Janice Gray Gerst. She graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1991. Lori was employed and currently working at Grainger Supply for the past 17 years.

Survived by her mother and stepfather, Janice and Kevin Parker of Waterloo; her father and stepmother, Gary and Donna Gerst of Waterloo; a brother, Troy (Denise) Gerst of Waterloo; three stepbrothers; two stepsisters; her grandmothers, Jenny Gray of Evansdale and JoAnn Parker of Waterloo; her fiance, Danny Goldsberry of Waterloo; many other family members and friends; and her furry friend, Lynx.

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, with a time of sharing at 6 p.m.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the family for a fund to be established

Lori loved her family and friends and would help them out no matter when or what time. Lori loved her job at Grainger and considered all of her co-workers as her family.
