WATERLOO - Billy C. Iverson, 67, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, April 9, 2005.

He was born Feb. 27, 1938, in Crystal Lake, son of Hans and Annie Iverson. He married Valerie Knox, and they later divorced.

Mr. Iverson graduated from Crystal Lake High School. He was employed with John Deere and then in construction. He also served in the U.S. Army after the Korean War.

Survivors include his significant other, Ila Owens of Waterloo; a son, Scott Iverson of Houston; a daughter, Leah Iverson of Houston; two grandchildren; and seven sisters, Viva Chestnut of Waverly, Erna Hillinga of Wooden, Peggy Black (Blackie) of Waverly, Ala., Janelle Odegaard of Minneapolis, Irene Fry of Waterloo, Dorothy (Charlie) Crapser of Snokomish, Wash., and Marlene Dutton of Algona.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Allen, Pearl "Butch" and Ernest; and three sisters, Faye, Ruth and Alice.

Memorial services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment at 1 p.m. April 18 in Crystal Lake. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
