WATERLOO - Betty Dicks, 73, of Davenport, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

She was born April 11, 1931, to Amel P. and Dorothea Junklaus Barta. She married Doren Dicks March 12, 1949, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Dicks was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Kurtis (Lisa) Dicks of Moline, Ill.; two daughters, Susan (Carlton) Wills of Davenport and Glory (Steve) Caldwell of Long Grove; three grandchildren; and a sister, Lily Riexinger of Dysart.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Leon, William, John and Pearle Barta, and a sister, Violet Barta Lancaster.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. Friday at Dysart Cemetery, Dysart. There will be no visitation. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
