WATERLOO - Eugene R. Aldrich, 74, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Waterloo, son of Glenn and Clara Furlong Aldrich. He married Berneita Wilkes March 6, 1949, in Waterloo. She died in 1978. He married Doloris Braby March 20, 1980, in Las Vegas.

Mr. Aldrich was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 23 years, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Martin Lodge No. 624, A.F. & A.M. El Kahir Shrine and El Kahir Vintage Auto and Fraternal Order of Eagles 764.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Craig (Brenda) and Gerald (Bernie), both of Waterloo, and Rodger (Debbie) of Dysart; a daughter, Renae Warner of La Porte City; two stepsons, Jim (Juli) Braby of Evansdale and Marty (Theresa) Braby of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, June Perry of Burlington, Kan., and Juanita (Ron) Stormer of Hamilton, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Michelle) and Jack (Diane) Houser, both of Cedar Falls; and three sisters, Beverly (Harry) Mercurio of Cedar Falls, Shirley (Ron) Hayungs of La Porte City and Linda (Ron) Schmitz of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Cook; and a son-in-law, Chris Warner.

Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with burial in the cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. public Masonic Service.

Memorials may be made to Shrine Childrens Hospitals.
