WATERLOO - Charles Ray White, 71, of 1933 Franklin St., died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 12, 1933, in Newton, son of John R. and Emma Watkins White. He married Betty June Replogle on Jan. 19, 1952, in Arkansas. She died March 10, 1994.

Mr. White attended Newton High School, Newton. He retired as a meat cutter and from the city of Waterloo.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynette "Tiney" (Larry) Gineau of Cresco; three sons, Charles II "Pete," Scott A.J. (Tracy) and Gary C. (Brenda Lee), all of Waterloo; a son-in-law, Tom Gehl of Waterloo; three brothers, James, Bob and Bruce; a sister, Barbara; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Steve; a daughter, Darlene "Sue" Gehl; three brothers, John Jr., Frankie and Barry; a brother-in-law, Joe Replogle; and an infant daughter.

Inurnment graveside services: noon Saturday at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street.
