HUDSON - Lori L. Swomley, 46, of Fort Wright, Ky., formerly of Hudson, died at home Friday, April 14, 2006, of natural causes.

She was born May 27, 1959, in Waterloo, daughter of Kenneth and Georgianna Schley Witt. She married Dean Swomley on April 7, 1979, at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Waterloo.

Mrs. Swomley graduated from Hudson High School in 1977. She worked for Witt Photography until 1979, then for Ramled Enterprises Real Estate Management Co. from 1988 to 1992. In 1995 she began working for the Internal Revenue Service where she had various roles and responsibilities. She was a member of Four Seasons Baptist Church in Taylor Mill, Ky., and of Scott High School Booster Club.

Survivors include Dean Swomley; two sons, Erik (Laura) of Independence, Ky., and Aaron of Fort Wright; a daughter, Miranda Swomley of Loveland, Ohio; her father of Waterloo; two brothers, Jeff (Carla) and Dave (Jarith) Witt, both of Hudson; four sisters, Luci (Jeff) Huegel of Marion, Lynn (Keith) Gaylor of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lani (John) Hill of La Porte City and Leslie (Steve) Pfiffner of Kansas City, Mo.; and her grandmother, Mildred Witt of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by her mother; and a sister, Lisa Witt.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church, Waterloo, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
