EVANSDALE - Sharon Eileen Alcott, 69, of Evansdale, died at home Thursday, April 17, 2006, of complications due to pneumonia and cancer.

She was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Waterloo, daughter of Earl and Lucille Hickman Hardee. She married Forrest "Gene" Alcott on July 18, 1953, in Minnesota. He died March 21, 1999.

Mrs. Alcott was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Forrest Jr. "Gene" (Pamela) of Waterloo, David (Linda) and Duane, both of Evansdale, and Donny (Vicki) of Cunning, Ga.; a daughter, Cindy (Jim) Brady of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean (Gene) Liebert of Evansdale, Betty (Leo) Halligan of Hudson and Sandy (George) Schares of Lansing; and special friend, Rich Wilcox of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Hardee Jr. and Bill Hardee.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Salvation Army, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Thursday at the Salvation Army.
