Elsie L. Straube, 90, of Janesville, died at home Saturday, April 15, 2006.

She was born June 23, 1915, in Cedar Falls, daughter of William and Sophie Brandhorst Andorf. She married Richard S. Straube on June 26, 1937, in Jesup. He died Dec. 9, 1993.

Survivors include two brothers, Earl Andorf of Lodi, Calif., and Robert (Shirley) Andorf of Cedar Falls; five nieces, Pat (Maynard) Bietz of Denver, Iowa, Joanne Lewis and Rita Garretson, both of Waterloo, MaDonna (Skip) Edmiston of Anchorage, Alaska, and Hillary (Brent) Roberts of Lodi; seven nephews, Bill (Monte) Hightower of Anchorage, James (Gail) Caldwell of Cascade, Idaho, Kenny (Terri) Andorf of Dysart, Mike (Sandy) Andorf of Waterloo, Allan (Adreienne) Andorf of Waterford, Calif., Eric Andorf and Keith (Carmenn) Andorf, both of Lodi; and good friend, Lee Hale of Janesville.

Preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Alvina Wilson, Ruth Freel, Martha Hightower, Emilie Caldwell, Dora Petrie and Louise Andorf; and three brothers, Theodore, LeRoy and Chris Andorf.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
