WATERLOO - Nina G. Patton, 91 of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Riceville, daughter of William Augustus and Hazel Burdella Crowley Brunson. She married Paul Hamilton Patton. He died March 9, 1993.

Nina was a seamstress for Hinson Manufacturing and then operated her own upholstering business before retiring.

Survived by four daughters, Allison Volker of Waterloo, Susan Shelton, Vickie (Randy) Ingamells and Patti (Terry) Blockhus, all of Hudson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Kenneth Brunson of Pierce, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a brother, Donald Brunson; and two sisters, Marian Heyberger and Lila Bergeson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Blessing. Public visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Nina enjoyed reading, bowling, camping, and dancing, playing 500 in a card club and trying her luck at gambling.
