CEDAR FALLS - Robert K. Klatt, 76, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born Oct. 20, 1937, in Cherokee, son of Howard and Evelyn Glassen Klatt. He married Lois Ann Kewley on Dec. 28, 1958 in Waukon.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1956 and from State College of Iowa with a business degree in 1960. He traveled around with Sears for 32 years, retiring in 1993 as the store manager of Sears at Crossroads.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Beth Gill of Cedar Rapids and Mary Bea (Dan) Lommell of Geneseo, Ill.; a son, Robert (Michelle) of Bloomington, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Howard (Darlene) of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by a grandson.

Services: private family services will take place. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or donor’s choice.
