WATERLOO - Donald B. Apling, 55, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 10, 1958, in Cedar Falls, son of Upton and Pearl Johnson Apling. He married Heidi L. Kentzelman on May 16, 1988, in Waterloo

He owned and operated his own drywall business for more than 25 years.

Survived by his wife; and two brothers, Mike (JoAnn) of Janesville and Jim of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
