CEDAR FALLS - Frank Henry Altman, 82, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Nora Springs, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Bickford Cottages.

He was born July 7, 1931, on the family farm near Osage, son of Henry and Lillian Peterson Altman.

Survived by his three stepdaughters, Carolyn Moore of Mason City, Arlene (Larry) Dodd of Washburn and Joetta (Jim) Kelley of Evansdale; a stepdaughter-in-law, Delores Treloar of Edmond, Okla.; 11 stepgrandchildren; 21 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Doug (Evelyn) Pelleymounter of Northfield, Minn., and Steve Pelleymounter of Warba, Minn.; and two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances (John) Evenson; a stepson, Jerry Treloar; and two stepsons-in-law, Kenneth Moore and Bruce Paine.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, with burial in Park Cemetery, both in Nora Springs, where full military honors will be provided by the Nora Springs American Legion H.D.S. Post 449. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church and will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church. Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the church or the Nora Springs American Legion H.D.S. Post 449.
