WATERLOO - Sandra Kay Platt, 63, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

She was born May 25, 1942, in Independence, daughter of Arthur Francis and Alice Gertrude Van Fleet Sturtz. She married Ronald Platt in 1961 in Oelwein, and they were later divorced.

She was a coordinator with Cedar Valley Support Services.

Survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Karla) of Waterloo and Rod (Becky) of Denver; a daughter, Polly Frey of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, Lee Sturtz of La Porte City and Harold (Mary) Sturtz of Wickenburg, Ariz.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Donnie Sturtz; a sister, Marilyn in infancy; and a grandson, Joshua Platt.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crossroads Assembly of God Church, with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
