Mrs. Lila Lestina Gould. 88, died at 5:40 a. m. Saturday in the home of her son, Earl G. Gould, 232 Sheridan Road, of arteriosclerosis and complications of other diseases incident
to advanced age. She had lived in her son's home here for nine years.

Mrs. Gould was the widow of Charles Emery Gould, to whom she was married June 30, 1876. In 1877 they moved to Mechanicsville, Ia., where they engaged in the drug business for more than 30 years until his death in 1909.

She was born March 6, 1853, near Beloit, Wis., as Lila Gillman, daughter of Obid W. and Sarah Gillman. When she was three years old the family moved to Evansville, Wis., where she grew to young womanhood and attended Evansville Seminary.

Surviving besides the son are a grandson, Marvin E. Gould, 137 Forest Avenue; a niece, Mrs. Robert Condie, Walnut Creek, Cal.. and a nephew, Nay Gillman, Evansville, Wis.

A brother and a sister are dead.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p. m. today at the Kearns Garden chapel by Rev. Harry Moore, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian church. Burial will be Monday afternoon in the family lot at Evansville, Wis.
