Mrs. Nellie Cavanaugh, 65, former Waterloo resident, died Thursday afternoon in Chicago, where she had been living for six years with two daughter and a son.

She lived here for many years before moving to Chicago in 1935. Her husband, Patrick Cavanaugh, died here in 1933.

She was born in Dubuque, Iowa, in 1876* as Nellie Smith.

Surviving are the son and daughters in Chicago with whom she lived. Miss Monica and Miss Hilary Cavanaugh and Giles Cavanaugh: another son, Victor, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Deach**. Jamestown, N. D., and Sister Mary, a nun living in San Francisco, Cal., and two brothers, Thomas and Joseph Smith, Epworth, Iowa. Chris Cavanaugh, 535 Vermont Street, is a brother-in-law.

There are also several nieces and nephews, among them Rev. Charles Deach*, a Catholic priest in Fargo, N. D.

The body will be brought to the Ray Hurley Funeral Home Saturday.

Funeral for Mrs. Nellie Cavanaugh, 65, former Waterloo resident, who died Thursday afternoon in Chicago will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. J. Dougherty, pastor. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are the son and daughter in Chicago with whom she lived. Miss Monica and Miss Hilary Cavanaugh and Giles Cavanaugh; another son, Victor, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Veach**, Jamestown, N. Members of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society will meet at the Ray Hurley Funeral Home at 8 this evening to recite the Rosary.
