CEDAR FALLS - Marie Robinson, 70, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Ponca City, Okla., daughter of George B. and Opal Josephine Pasley Burke. She married Robert L. Robinson on May 18, 1956, in Ponca City.

Mrs. Robinson graduated from St. Josephs School of Nursing, Ponca City, in 1956; received her BSN from Upper Iowa University in 1983; and her M.A. in Community Health Education from University of Northern Iowa in 1984. She was a nurse at Sartori Memorial Hospital; taught clinical nursing at Hawkeye Institute of Technology, Waterloo; and was with the State of Iowa Department of Inspection & Appeals, retiring in 1996.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Peters (Gloria) of Hanover, Pa.; two daughters, Janis Marie (Daniel) McGinnis of Marshalltown and Karen Beth (Tim) Suich of Millington, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Scott, Steven, Laura and Megan Robinson, Jason and Jesse McGinnis, and Gerald Clark; and a sister, Alyce Faye (James) London of Blackwell, Okla.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Ivan Burke.

Family-directed memorial services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Society of Black Hawk County, with inurnment at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Business & Professional Women Scholarship Fund.
