CEDAR FALLS - Thomas V. McGraw, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, July 20, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of complications following a heart attack.

He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Ottumwa, son of Thomas P. and Verna Ross McGraw. He married P. Patricia Manns Feb. 15, 1948, in Ottumwa.

Mr. McGraw served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from John Deere & Co. as a tool and die maker. Thomas was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of Eastern Star and White Shrine, and a member of Twin Town Barbershop Chorus.

Survived by his wife; three sons, David (Kathy) and Timothy, both of Cedar Falls, and Mark (Chris) of Walcott; two daughters, Suzanne (Ron) Jaeger of Farmington, Minn., and Dr. Debbie (Paul Gault) Gibbs of Washington; 12 grandchildren, Joanna, Alecia and Daniel Jaeger, John and J.R. McGraw, Pricilla (Joey) Svendsen, Krystal Halvorson, Andrew and Elizabeth McGraw, and Ryan, Heather and Whitney Gibbs; two great-grandchildren, Holden and Aidan; one brother, Forrest (Margaret) of Glen Arms, Md.; and one sister, Nona Rae (James) Good of Canton, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. public Masonic service conducted by Black Hawk Masonic Lodge No. 65, and for an hour before service time Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
