WATERLOO - Blossom L. Tufts, 90, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died there Tuesday, July 19, 2005 of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Waterloo, daughter of David and Rachel McCoun Cherry. She married Arthur Tufts on June 5, 1933, in Waterloo. He died in 1993.

Mrs. Tufts was a drapery supervisor with Blacks Department Store for several years, retiring in 1967. She was a 56-year member of the International Order of the Kings Daughters and Sons.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (Carol) of Dahlonega, Ga., and Terry (Carole) of Belo Horizonte, Brazil; two daughters, Judy (Gary) Hughes of Waterloo and Beverly ORourke of Hazleton; 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Murle Ralston of Granger and Waival (Roger) Austin of Janesville.

Preceded in death by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Genevieve Hahn.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the church.
