Wellington "Bill" M. McKeen Jr., 52, of rural Jesup, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 30, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Wellington Miller Sr. and Mary Esther Klein McKeen. On July 14, 1984, he married Linda Mae Riggle at the Church of the Living Water, Independence.

Following high school, Mr. McKeen graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was currently owner/operator of Coral Transportation, Jesup.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Derek Cameron of Independence and Wellington "Billy" McKeen III, at home; a daughter, Joclyn Mae McKeen at home; a granddaughter; his mother, Mary Bohnsack of Jesup; and seven sisters, Linda (Bud) Stone, Ruth (Steve) Kalkbrenner and Dawn McKeen, all of Jesup, Joanne Good of La Porte City, Audrey Conerd of Waterloo, Gail Althaus of Brandon and Michelle (Terry) Kizzire of Mount Auburn.

Preceded in death by his father; and a brother at birth, Robert.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with burial in West View Cemetery, La Porte City. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
