WATERLOO - Lorraine J. Sprio, 82, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Lakeview Landing of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 8, 1925, in St. Ansgar, daughter of Eugene and Laura Sonberg Adams. She married Joseph J. Sprio March 15, 1953, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Sprio was employed as a sales associate at Arnolds. She also was employed as a marketing director at Friendship Village.

Survived by her husband; a son, Craig (Connie) Patava of Waterloo; two daughters, Linda Unger of Carroll and Michelle Sprio of Waterloo; and two grandchildren, Joseph Patava and Kelli Patava.

Preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Jean Adams, Arlene Welch and Evelyn Miller.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
