WATERLOO - Lavinia L. Heggebo, 55, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center from complications of cancer.

She was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Iowa City, daughter of Henry "Hank" and Caroline Jene Patterson Stahr Jr. She married Lawrence "Larry" Heggebo on Dec. 27, 1969, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Heggebo was employed as a cook at Embers, Waterloo school cafeterias, and for the past 20 years at Steamboat Gardens.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lawrence "Larry" Jr. (Kathy) of Cedar Rapids and Brad A. Heggebo of Spencer, Wis.; a daughter, Tracy L. Heggebo of Waterloo; six grandchildren; her parents of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Henry J.G. "Butch" (Trudy) Stahr of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Roberta "Robby" (Albert) Jones of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Tina; paternal grandparents, Henry and Hazel Stahr; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Katie Patterson.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the chapel.
