WATERLOO - Evelyn Jean “Lyn” Bremicker, 84, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.

She was born April 23, 1929, in Homewood, Ill., daughter of Ira Russell and Alice Eliza Gauntt Odor. She married Richard Franklin Bremicker on Sept. 11, 1948, in Homewood; he preceded her in death.

Lyn attended Carleton College in Minnesota in 1946. In Waterloo she was involved with PEO Chapter MR, Lou Henry Hoover Questers, ILAF/Socrates Cafe, YWCA Book Discussion Group, Waterloo Bridge Group, Cedar Valley Arboretum, Schoitz Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Rensselaer Russell House.

Survived by three daughters, Polly Calise of Indian Harbour Beach, Becky Burke of Fort Collins, Colo., and Darcy Bremicker of St. Paul, Minn.; two sons, Richard Bremicker Jr. of Homer, Alaska, and Douglas Bremicker of Port Townsend, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter; Kristin S. Bremicker

Memorial services 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.
