HUDSON - Steven F. Williams, 52, of 8401 Eldora Rd., Hudson, IA, formerly from Vinton, died Friday evening, September 30, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester during heart surgery. Mr. Williams resided in Vinton from 1974-1989, and served as a City Council member 1982 through 1988.

He was born August 7, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, son of George and Georgia Long Williams. He married Elizabeth TerHark Renken on June 8, 1974 in The Little Brown Church in Nashua. He worked for John Deere Tractor Co. in Waterloo for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife; two sons: Steve Williams, Dallas, GA, and Chris Williams, Prairie City, IA; one daughter, Kathy Helton, Marietta, GA; 11 grandchildren; two step-sons, Wesley Renken, Johnston, IA, Chad Renken, Cedar Rapids; and one step-daughter, Justeen Hill, Waterloo. He is also survived by three brothers: John and Riley, La Porte City; and Brain, Grundy Center; two sisters, Ann Hoffman, Waterloo and Marie Tumilty, Cedar Rapids.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, at Cedar Valley Community Church in Waterloo, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., at O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home in Waterloo. Visitation s also an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
