ELK RUN HEIGHTS-- Jerry Lee Watt, 69, of Elk Run Heights, died at home Saturday, April 12, 2014 of cancer.

Hewas born Feb. 21, 1945, in Manchester, son of Earl Jr. and Elaine Sites Watt. He married Beth Trenary on May 24, 1969, in Manchester; they later divorced. He was married to LeeAnn in 1981; she preceded him in death in 2007. In June 2013, Jerry and Beth remarried.

Jerry served in the United States Navy. He was employed at John Deere for 26 years, as a supervisor, retiring in 2001.

Survived by his wife Beth; two sons, Shannon of Elk Run Heights and David (Patty Brimmer) of Elk Run Heights; a stepdaughter, Denise (Rick) Pettinger; two stepsons, Rick (Melaine Frost) Duggan of La Porte City and Rodney Duggan of Elk Run Heights; three stepgrandchildren, Brent Barth, Nicole Pettinger and Mikal Duggan; a stepgreat-grandchild; and a brother, Randy of Dundee.

Preceded in death by his parents; and his wife LeeAnn.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, with burial in Forestville Cemetery, Dundee. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, and an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home in Manchester.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jerry was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was a master mushroom and ginseng harvester. Most of all, he was a devoted family man. Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
