WASHBURN - Milton J. Hrabovsky, 72, of Washburn, died Tuesday, April 4, 2007, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born Dec. 28, 1934, in St. Louis, Mo., son of John and Gertrude Thompkins Hrabovsky. He married Lucile J. Ackerman on July 10, 1955, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Waterloo.

Mr. Hrabovsky earned his high school diploma while he was in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at John Deere Foundry where he was an inspector, retiring in 1992. He later owned and operated Washburn Redemption Center in Washburn.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Johnnette (Curtis) Damme of Washburn; a grandson; two sisters, Roseanne Litton of Potosi, Mo., and Elizabeth (Wayne) Parson of Flint , Texas; and a brother, Francis of Doniphon, Mo.

Preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lynn Litton.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
