ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Darline P. Rigel, 80, of Elk Run Heights, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of cancer.

She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Marengo, daughter of Clifton and Leola Roberts Butler. She married Lewis Rigel on Jan. 12, 1945, in Waterloo. He died May 21, 1987.

Mrs. Rigel earned her GED in 1987. She sold Avon for 25 years up until the time of her death. She had previously been employed at Wal-Mart and Rath Packing Co.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Lynne) and Dannie (Nancy), both of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Woock; and two sisters, Alice Welch and Betty Primmer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Countryside Vineyard Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
