Gary L. Mosley, age 58, of Aledo, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill. Services 11 Ûa.m. today at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo with the Rev. John Crede officiating. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery with graveside military services being conducted by the Mercer County VFW Post #1571. Visitation was Sunday at Fippinger Funeral Home where a memorial fund has been established.

He was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Waterloo, a son of Donald and Colette Aubrey Mosley. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in Waterloo and attended AIC in Davenport where he graduated with honors. He married Mary Sue Pople Nov. 18, 1967 in Aledo.

He was formerly employed at John Deere Plow and Planter in Waterloo and in Moline.

He owned and operated Garys Tax Service in Aledo and was currently employed at Riddell Roofing in Aledo.

Gary was a member of the Tuesday and Thursday evening Bowling Leagues at Millennium Lanes and was a member of the Oakview Country Club where he enjoyed golfing.

He enjoyed NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon and was a fan of drag racing.

He is survived by his wife; Sue of Aledo; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Douglas Kester of Milan, Ill.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy and Leah Mosley of Rock Island and Christopher Mosley of Chicago; three grandsons, Zachary Kester of Milan and Bryce and Brennan Mosley of Rock Island; his mother, Colette Mosley of Waterloo; a sister, Michelle (Scott) Richter of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Gene (Rita) Mosley of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father.
