WATERLOO - Kenneth Larue Brant, 55, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in Rochester, Minn., after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 10, 1950, in Staples, Minn., son of Kenneth R. and Leone Howe Brant. He married Cheryl Combs in 1967, and they later divorced.

Mr. Brant was a construction worker.

Survivors include his mother of Waterloo; two daughters, Christina Kay of Waterloo and Melissa (Jerry) Weekley of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Jessica and Jamie Jo Weekley; a great-grandchild, Layton Weekley; his wife, Lori Davis, and her three children, Zachary, Cassandra and Alix Davis; a brother, Duane of Rockwell City; four sisters, Lorraine (Tom) Gibbons of Elk Run Heights, and Kathy (Brian) McBride, Mary (Rick) Wersinger and Helen (Brett), all of Waterloo; and many nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by all.

Preceded in death by his father and a sister, Juanita L. Brant.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Crossroads Assembly of God, 3205 Bethel St., with burial at a later date in Poplar, Minn.
