CEDAR FALLS - Martha Mary Caldwell, 80, of Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Waterloo, died at the home Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006.

She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Nashua, daughter of John N. and Susan B. Merfeld Sinnwell. She married Anthony Wayne Caldwell on Sept. 19, 1949, at Sacred Heart Church in Waterloo. He died in 1977.

Mrs. Caldwell worked as a bookkeeper for various retail stores throughout her career. She also volunteered with Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab, Covenant Hospital, Sacred Heart and St. Vincent de Paul.

Survivors include three sons, Mike (Pamela) of Mount Vernon, and David (Vicki) and Joe (Teri), both of Dubuque; a daughter, Sharon West of Cedar Falls; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence McCormick of Madison, Wis.

Preceded in death by six brothers, Joe, Urban, Vernon, Leo, Henry and Ray Sinnwell.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
