CEDAR FALLS - Gloria L. Fanelli, 85, of the Western Home Communities, died there Wednesday, March 30, 2005.

She was born March 4, 1920, in Chicago, daughter of Louis and Ida Landi Del Carlo. She married George Fanelli on April 10, 1942, in Chicago. He died in June 1988.

Mrs. Fanelli received a degree from Berning School of Music in applied piano performance. She was a professional pianist, opera coach and piano teacher and also performed with the Chicago Opera Co.

Survived by a son, Michael (Carla) of Cedar Falls.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Western Home chapel. There will be no visitation. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Western Home Communities or Cedar Valley Hospice.
