WATERLOO - Gordon L. Miller Sr., 75, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 of brain cancer.

He was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Elgin, son of Herbert and Iva Boleyn Miller. He married Shirley A. Buttgen on Aug. 9, 1952, in Waterloo.

Mr. Miller worked at Zeidlers Concrete for 40 years, in Waterloo then in Boone. He then worked part time for Martin Brothers in Cedar Falls as a van driver.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Brenda (Jim) Johnson of Oelwein, Debra (Tom) Ryan of Cedar Rapids, Carrie (Tim) Cox of Waterloo and Christine (Scott) Toms of Boone; a son, Gordon Jr. (Mary) of Marshalltown; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Ilene) of Washburn; and two sisters, Dorothy (Max) McAlister of Peoria, Ariz., and Bonnie (Gene) Land of Tolar, Texas.

Preceded in death by parents; a sister, Betty Hockey; and a brother, Howard.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call fro 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
