Margaret Leo, 86, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Jan. 25, 2005. She was buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. She was born Margaret Hurley on May 5, 1918, in Clinton, to Jack and Helen Hurley and was raised primarily in Des Moines. She married Robert Leo in 1943 in Columbus, Miss., while Robert was in Air Force training during World War II.

Margaret was a graduate of Roosevelt High in Des Moines. She attended Drake University and graduated with degree in business. While in Waterloo she managed the home, raised her two children and assisted Robert in his houseware sales business before moving to Jupiter, Fla., for six years and then Denver for 13 years.

She is survived by her son, Robert Jr. (Rebecca) of Denver; a daughter, Deborah (David) Tilton of Denver; and grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan, Alison, Ben and Catie.
