Ronald Arnold Penne (J.C.) was born May 28, 1933, and passed from this life Feb. 8, 2005.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jeanette Shindler Penne; and a son, Harry Ronald Penne.

He was born in Waterloo and graduated from West High in 1952. He married Marjorie Immel in 1954 and of this union four children were born (Steven Lee, Harry Ronald, Scott Brent and Katherina Joyce). An employee at Midwest Power in Iowa, Ron retired in 1992 after 41 years of service. Ron was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 624 and Past Patron of Becker Chapter No. 499. He also was a Shriner and member of the Firehouse Gang.

Ron is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of the home; sons, Steven of Moore, Okla., and Scott of Waterloo; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mike Costello of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and a great-grandson.

A memorial and Masonic service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Poole Chapel, Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Services will be officiated by best friend Hal Bassett of Republic, Mo. Following the service, family visitation and a

luncheon will be held at the First Baptist Church at West Fourth and Baltimore streets, Waterloo.
