WATERLOO - Ruth B. Fabel, 87, of Woodstock, Ga., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 15, in Woodstock of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 25, 1914, in Hubbard, daughter of the Rev. Henry and Ida Barschdorf Maas. She married Carl L. Fabel on July 17, 1937, in Waterloo. He died Nov. 29, 1990.

Survived by: two daughters, Sandra Putnam of Woodstock and Priscilla Lanigan of Columbia, Mo.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Hertha Sassaman and Aganes Ortman, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: six brothers, Paul, Adolph, Rudolph, Ernest, Gerhart and Henry Maas; and five sisters, Bertha Williams, Laurina Smith, Lenchen Weidner, Ida Curtis and Gertrude Gruner.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott and Wood Family Funeral Care, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
