CEDAR FALLS - Marlys Marie Swanson, 61, of Davenport, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 16, 1940, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Frank and Zella Riker Bagg. She married LeRoy Swanson on Aug. 21, 1965, in Unionville, Mo. He died in July 1977.

Survivors include her companion, Bill Gillett of Davenport; a son, Larry of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Esther Larson and Cherrie Sabel, both of Davenport; four grandchildren; four brothers, Roger Bagg of Cedar Falls, Bennie Bagg of Waterloo, Oliver Bagg of Newkirk, Okla., and Richard Mitchell of Guthrie Center; a half brother, Hubert Hatcher of Cedar Rapids; and a half sister, Martha Ditch of Claremont, Ill.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Faith Chapel, Halligan McCabe De Vries Funeral Home, with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, both in Davenport. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport, or the American Heart Association.
