WATERLOO - Diane “Sue” Hanson, 69, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday March 18, 2014, from cancer.

She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Waterloo, daughter of Othel and Vivian Lemmon Gruver. She married Jerry Hanson on June 6, 1964, in Waterloo.

Sue graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1963 and retired from Omega Cabinets in 2002.

Survived by her husband; a son, Tim (Shelly) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Teresa (Craig Axon) Klein of Sumner and Tina (Devrick) White of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Meghan White, Kaylee White, Brittany Koch, Bryn Klein, Whitney Hanson, Katelyn Hanson and Sam Hanson; four great-grandchildren, Alivia Chipp, John-Michael Koch, Mason Koch, Andrew Koch, and one on the way.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Cynthia Gruver.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, where visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials: may be directed to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
