WATERLOO - Leith Deshon Klenzman Schwartz, 80, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Guildford, Australia, daughter of Roy Curzon and Lois Edith Clairs Letch Deshon. She married Marvin Klenzman on July 25, 1945, in Perth, Australia, and they were later divorced. She then married Arthur Schwartz on Sept. 2, 1966, in Kirksville, Mo. He died in May 1991.

Mrs. Schwartz was employed as the thrift store manager for Colonial Bakery for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She also was a veteran of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, serving in World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Craig L. (Terry) Klenzman of Somonauk, Ill., and Mark G. (Cindy) Klenzman of Waterloo; a daughter, Janelle (Jon) Rench of Waterloo; a brother, James Peter Deshon of Canberra, Australia; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Palma Curzon Deshon; and a great-grandson, Josh Burton.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, with inurnment in the mausoleum at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive guests at a luncheon at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel following services.
