CHARLES SMITH CHOATE.

Funeral services for the late Charles Smith Choate, whoso death occurred at his home, Guthrie, Okla., last Friday, will be at the Petersen Bros.' Chapel at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Rev. W. F. Spry will be in charge with burial in Elmwood.

Decedent was born in Waterloo, Sept. 7, 1857, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan B. Choate, pioneers of Black Hawk County. April 13, 1887. he was married to Mary C. Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wilson, also early residents of this county.

Besides the widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucy Choate Jones, Los Angeles, Cal., and a son, Nathan Wilson Choate, with the A. R. F.; also one sister, Charlotte A. Choate. Eugene, Ore.

Decedent was formerly a merchant here, leaving here about 1900.

The following relatives from a distance are here to attend the funeral: Mrs. Elbert Jones and Miss Asemith Wilson, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. N. W. Choate, Eugene. Ore.: Mrs. E. Lillian Homer, Oskaloosa, Ia.; Mr. And Mrs. H. H. Schenk, Memphis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Wilson, Kirwin, Kan.; Prof, and Mrs. L. B. Schmidt and son, Robert, Ames; John W. McKinney, Addington, Okla.

Other relatives residing here are: Charles Potter, Messrs, and Mesdames A. L. Ettinger, E. E. Wilson and J. T. Allen.
