WATERLOO - Warren T. Duffy, 74, of Waterloo, died Monday Aug. 25, 2008, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

He was born April 16, 1934, in Fairbank, son of Donald and Nora Shaw Duffy. He married Beverly Gardner on Jan. 15, 1955, in Fairbank.

Mr. Duffy was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Fairbank, and was employed as a machinist for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survived by his wife; a son, Craig (Chaluay) of Bremerton, Wash.; two grandchildren, David (Maigualida) Duffy of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Jennifer (Justin) Stallones of Twin Falls, Idaho; three great-grandchildren, Adelaide Duffy and Aidan and McKenna Stallones; a brother, Norman (Shirley) of Fairbank; and two sisters, Donna Erhardt of Sumner and Bernice (Dick) Coats of Victor.

Preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Duffy; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Erhardt.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank. Full military rites will be conducted by Fortsch-Duffy American Legion Post 552. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4:30 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
