WATERLOO - David Theodore Heiple, 65, of 808 Riehl St., died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

He was born Oct. 27, 1939, in Waterloo, son of Theodore and Mildred Rochford Heiple. He married Shirley Mason on May 29, 1959, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Heiple was employed as an inspector with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 43 years, retiring in 2001.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Jr. of Waterloo; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Robb of Boulder, Colo.; and three sisters, Jan (Carl) Shaw of Las Vegas, Carolyn (Colin) Junge of Sacramento, Calif., and his twin, Dolores (Tom) Fahey of Dunnelon, Fla.

Preceded in death by two infant daughters, Mary Teresa and Angelia Renee Heiple; and a sister, Olivia Burns.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Chapel on West Fourth Street, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 5 p.m. Senior Citizens rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
