REINICKE, DEMMEL, MCGRANE, OGLE, STRUDTHOFF

Richard V. "Dick" Reinicke, 87, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at the Martin Center of the Western Home Communities.

He was born February 26, 1920, in Waterloo, son of E. Otto and Louise Demmel Reinicke. He married Marcella Sally McGrane October 18, 1947, in Waterloo. She died August 14 1975.

He was a U.S. army veteran serving in WWII. Mr. Reinicke was employed with H & H Machine Tool Company as a purchasing agent for 24 years retiring in 1984.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Dave Bobak) Reinicke of Waterloo and Janet (Steve) Ogle of Arvada, CO; a son David (Deb) Reinicke of Westminster, CO; a sister Lorraine Strudthoff of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Public visitation will be from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church Columbus High School or Cedar Valley Hospice.
